Since I know most of the readers here are gamers, I’ll also recommend Frazer’s A Medieval Year in England: It provides a “day by day” insight into what medieval life was like. Lot of good inspiration to be found there for making your fantasy settings flavorful and distinctly “non-modern” without becoming overwhelmed in detail.
